Walter Lampeter, CSA
































Walter Lampeter is a Surgical Assistant with over 25 years of clinical expertise, specializing in Robotic and Multi-Specialty surgical assisting.
 
Mr. Lampeter is an affiliate member of the American College of Surgeons, published in his field, and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA).
 
He is the current Chairman of the Examination Analysis & Review Committee, and Immediate Past President and Chairman of the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA). 
  

Mr. Lampeter is additionally a Medical Legal Consultant in matters of surgical assisting practice. His interests also converge on clinical education, as well the development of surgical devices and instrumentation.































As defined by the American College of Surgeons, "the surgical assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
In addition to intraoperative duties, the surgical assistant also performs preoperative and postoperative duties to better facilitate proper patient care. The surgical assistant to the surgeon during the operation does so under the direction and supervision of that surgeon and in accordance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations."
